They will Update Knowledge in Holguín Specialists in Gynecology and Obstetrics
The sustained results obtained by the Mother and Child Care Program in Holguín made it worthy of the first Territorial Meeting of Gynecology and Obstetrics, which will be held from September 25 to 27.
The appointment is part of a set of activities prior to the completion of the specialty congress, scheduled for June 2019.
The meeting is expected to be attended by professionals from the
capital, Camagüey and other eastern provinces, as well as members of the governing board of the Cuban Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics and professors emeritus in order to exchange experiences on women's health during pregnancy and out of it.
This was stated by Ariana González Balmaseda, specialist in this medical branch: "We intend that the entire province to feel involved with the event, therefore pre-courses will take place in the different health centers of the territory as in the university centers of Banes, Mayarí and Moa, in the Military Hospital and in the three provincial hospitals.
These courses will be aimed at preventing maternal complications that lead to serious condition, gynecological and psychological affectations in girls and adolescents, in the treatment of gynecological affections with the help of Natural and Traditional Medicine and the management of the infertile couple, among others themes. "
The specialist González Balmaseda stressed that due to the lack of content related to the climacteric stage that women face, it is urgent to speak with special emphasis on the subject.
In the midst of the arduous process of reorganization carried out by the Cuban Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics, these territorial days that will take place progressively in each province of the country will serve to reaffirm the relevance of this specialty, responsible for the care of the pregnant woman and her baby and another of the gynecological conditions that women present from birth to death.
So this will be a scientific event aimed at addressing all those problems that affect the sexual and reproductive health of women, a need of these times.
