The event, premiered in Holguin during the V Festival of Humor for young people Satiricón last March offers a well thought out humor with multiple intertextual links to cultural references of classic exponents of Cuba and the world.

The 14th edition of the International Film Festival of Gibara runs until next July 7 in the White Village of Crabs with the participation of more than 40 audiovisual projects in competition, grouped in the category of fiction, documentaries, cinema in construction, animation and videoart.
Among the competing works that will be presented this Wednesday is the documentary "Las muchas Natalia Bolívar: arte, utopía and religión" by Juana María Cordones in a US-Cuba-Uruguay co-production.
The event, this time dedicated to childhood and adolescence pays homage to its creator renowned Cuban filmmaker Humberto Solas, who captured the beauty of Gibara and its people in many of his films.
This cinematographic contest is organized every year by the Ministry of Culture, the Cuban Institute of Art and Cinematographic Industry (ICAIC) and the governments of the province of Holguín and the municipality of Gibara.
