A year ago, the Popular Council of San Andrés, located a little over 20 kilometers from the city of Holguín, disguised very little the poverty of its facades and the desire for an investment program that would renew its environment for the welfare of its people.

2018 gave that community the joy of being the seat of the municipal act for the day of National Rebellion, so a schedule of constructive actions would change the image of its historic center with the remodeling of several institutions and the construction of other to greet the anniversary of July 26.

What used to be the social circle of that district today is transformed into a restaurant almost luxurious for the good of the people of that locality. Other centers of gastronomy are renovated before the festivities arrive with the contributions of the one percent that have already benefited many social projects.

The sectors of education and health do not fall behind in this transformative process because a new semiboarding school  will open doors to more than 100 infants so they do not have to travel long distances from their homes.

An elderly house will welcome seniors to make their lives more pleasant and people will walk better through the streets of San Andrés after their gradual improvement.

The population will see consolidated response to hundreds of historical claims, after the millionaire investment in social works for those who inhabit that part of the provincial geography.

The 65th anniversary of the actions of July 26 will be celebrated here with the joy of having a community in a new suit so that its people remain proud of living in it.
